TensorFlow Lite is what is known as a local-device version of TensorFlow, meaning it is designed to run on your mobile device itself. As of the time of this writing it is still in pre-release status, so an exact comparison to CoreML is difficult. We will have to wait and see what the final offering provides. For now, simply be aware there are two options for mobile device-local AI and machine learning.
