In this chapter, we have discussed the use of Gateway patterns in an object-oriented application.

We have gained a deeper understanding of the underlying definition of the Gateway, and have looked in some detail to an alternative solution by merging all database queries and functions into one Data Access Object pattern, or the Table Data Gateway pattern.
