Seated Biceps Curls

Performing this exercise works the biceps muscles as well as muscles of the lower arm. Biceps curls can increase your biceps and deltoid strength as well as increase your wrist stability. You use these muscles anytime you pick something up, making this biceps curl a great functional exercise.

1 Sit on the front edge of a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Hold a dumbbell in each hand and relax your arms at your sides, with your palms facing up.

2 Bend your elbows and raise the weights toward your shoulders. Reverse your movements to return to your starting position. Perform these steps 5 times.
