6.8. Summary

In this chapter you have seen how a solution and projects can be configured via the user interfaces provided within Visual Studio 2008. In particular, this chapter showed you how to do the following:

  • Create and configure solutions and projects

  • Control how an application is compiled, debugged, and deployed

  • Configure the many project-related properties

  • Include resources and settings with an application

  • Enforce good coding practices

In subsequent chapters, many of the topics, such as building and deploying projects and the use of resource files, will be examined in more detail.
