Chapter 12. Anonymous Types, Extension Methods, and Lambda Expressions

Although the introduction of generics in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework reduced the amount of code that you had to write, there were still a number of opportunities to simplify both C# and VB.NET, letting you write more efficient code. In this chapter you will see a number of new language features that have been introduced to not only simplify the code you write but also support LINQ, which is covered in more detail in Chapter 21.
