Acknowledgments

It is Labor Day 2017 and, at long last, having commenced the process in wintry February, I have completed the first draft of the book. I have many to thank for this, my fourth book, for Reg A+, and for the success I have been fortunate to have had in my more than 30 years of professional life.

First to the Wiley publishing team, led as always by Bill Falloon and Stephen Isaacs. Your support and encouragement are greatly appreciated. You took a chance on Reg A+ well before it was clearly the exciting new trend it has become and I thank you for it.

My family means everything. My mom, sister, brother‐in‐law, and nieces all have truly been there for me in so many ways. And, of course, my 15‐year‐old son, Andrew, amazes me constantly with his incredible acting, singing, musical, and academic talent and, more importantly, by having become the fine and respected young man he is. I am super‐proud of you and love you very much! Also sending lots of love to my very talented and caring daughter, Sammi. Missing my Dad, whom we lost in 2001, and Mom's longtime boyfriend, who left us in 2016. I know you are up there watching!

My “Reg A+ friends” are also important. Mark Elenowitz, Lou Taubman, Dave Bukzin, journalist Teri Buhl, Dan McClory and Myomo CEO Paul Gudonis, thanks for being part of this movement with me. To Karen Weidemann, the SEC staffer who contributed substantially to the Reg A+ rules, well done! Thanks also to Sebastian Gomez Abero, head of the SEC Small Business Policy office, and the encyclopedic Jenny Riegel of his team, for your strong support of and assistance to those working hard to make Reg A+ successful.

I remain appreciative of mentors who continue to be there for me, including my uncle, Len Rivkin, and fellow super‐lawyer Dave Mazure. To my relatively new colleagues at the incredible AmLaw 100 Duane Morris LLP, thanks for your talent, hard work, and strong ethics. A special nod to Nanette Heide for bringing me into the firm; former Chair John Soroko; new Chair Matt Taylor; Corporate Practice Group head Brian Kerwin; Darrick Mix, the head of our Capital Markets Group; Michael Grohman, who runs our New York City office; marketing gurus Mark Messing and Ellen Auwarter; awesome corporate partners Richard Silfen, Dean Colucci, Jim Seery, and Michael Schwamm; and my amazing legal assistant and bureaucracy navigator, Nancy Menna. Thanks also to super‐talented New York/Newark corporate associates (by their office location) Phil Goldstein, Kristen Lin, Neeraj Kumar, Lily Gao, Miguel de Leon Perez, Leigh Krafchek, and Kelly Dabek.

I am very grateful to Elena Karabatos, Lisa Schoenfeld, David Smith, Kenny Lindenbaum, Rick Wien, Jen Rosen Nosenchuk, and my college roomie and Paul Weiss partner, Eric Goodison, for your wonderful personal help during some pretty challenging periods over the decades. Thank you, thank you, thank you to my great friends, Victoria Feuer, my “nieces,” Lauren Feuer and Akina Nolan (and yes, you, too, Nicole Lvov), Shannon Harvey, Dick Auletta, Lucy Goetz, Keith Lippert, Gabrielle Guttman, the late Gregg Feinstein (RIP my friend), Michelle Vallejo, Jen Lee, Faquiry Diaz and Amelia Balonek, Drs. Jay and Nina Rechtweg, Veronica Zanca, Maria Solorzano, Heather Schwartz, theater pal Steph Cartin, Larry Langs, Lisa Reitman‐Dobi, BJ Ostrover Levy, the Katies—Shea and Schloss, Dale Weill, Dannah Chaifetz, law firm buddies Evan Michailidis, Justin D'Elia, Christi Campbell, Patricia Heer, and Brian Siff, and many others for adding so much meaning to my life. I am very lucky, honored, and humbled to have such wonderful people around me, especially during the last five years.

I have been on the board of YRF Darca (www.yrfdarca.org) for 28 years! This incredible charity runs public high schools in disadvantaged areas of Israel under contract with the government. Thanks to fund-raising they offer much larger budgets, resulting in smaller classes, better‐paid teachers, and incredible technology. Thanks to Mark Rowan, Sam Katz, and Paul Schnell for so many years of leadership of this awesome cause.

Finally, thanks to my longtime readers, who keep reminding me that my books are not just doorstops. To my business contacts, clients, and referral sources, it has been my pleasure building my network by making friends with you all. I am blessed truly to love what I do, and it is in large part because of the wonderful people I encounter along the way. I am just getting started!
