Place the trim in between the two layers of fabric.
The finished edge of the trim will point away from
the raw edge. Pin.
Open the fabric to see the trim extending out of the
seam. You can sew the seam at different widths to
have less trim show. Trim the seam on the inside.
Press the seam with the wrong sides of the fabric
together. Depending on the project, you can top-
stitch or edge stitch for extra durability.
Straight stitch through all three layers, removing
the pins as you sew. Be sure to keep the trim flat
and to guide it gently with your fingers.
