Laminated cotton fabric has a glossy sheen and
a protective coating on the right side of the fabric.
It’s easy to sew with and can be wiped off with
water, so it’s great to use for making reusable
snack bags. This is perfect for parents on the
go—just pop in some fruit or crackers and toss it
in your bag for later. And because you can reuse
it again and again, this bag is not only fun, it’s envi-
ronmentally friendly!

Top stitch the flap edge. Place the Velcro so it will
line up when closed. Pin and stitch around the
four sides of each piece of Velcro, and backstitch
to reinforce.
Turn one bag portion right side out, and slide the
other bag inside it. Turn the raw edges inside, pin,
and stitch together.
Turn the top flap right side out, and push the cor-
ners out to a point. You should have both bottom
sides of the bag hanging with the wrong sides out.
Trim the seam allowances at the corners of the
flap and both bottom edges of the bag.
The right side of the
fabric is visible on
the inside as well
as theoutside.
