CHRISTOPHER M. BARNES is a professor of organizational behavior at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. He worked in the Fatigue Countermeasures branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory before pursuing his PhD in Organizational Behavior at Michigan State University and has kept sleep as his primary research interest. He has twin infants and a preschooler and thus understands sleep deprivation from an experiential perspective as well.

SCOTT BEHSON is a professor of management at Fairleigh Dickinson University and the author of The Working Dad’s Survival Guide and the forthcoming book The Family-Forward Workplace. He writes and consults on work-life policies and has been a featured speaker at both the White House and United Nations. His most important roles are as husband and father. He can be seen most often writing in the car during his teen son’s sports practices.

ALICE BOYES, PHD, is a former clinical psychologist turned writer and is author of The Healthy Mind Toolkit and The Anxiety Toolkit. She is mom to a 4-year-old daughter.

ALEXANDER CAILLET is the CEO of Corentus, Inc., an international professional services firm dedicated to team and leadership development. An organizational psychologist, he is on the faculty of Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership and its Leadership Coaching program. Born in France, Alexander currently lives in the United States and has lived and worked in over 30 countries.

RUSSELL CLAYTON is a faculty member at the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida and a cofounder of Work-Life Insights, a training and continuing education firm. STEWART D. FRIEDMAN, an organizational psychologist at the Wharton School, is author of three Harvard Business Review Press books—Total Leadership, Leading the Life You Want, and Parents Who Lead. He founded the Wharton Leadership Program, the Wharton Work/Life Integration Project, and Total Leadership, a management consulting and training company. His three grown children work in education. He hopes his two grandchildren will help us all heal our broken world.

MICHELLE GALE is a chief of staff at Autodesk, where she founded Autodesk Pause, a mindfulness community. In her spare time, she practices parenting two teenage boys with awareness, curiosity, and plenty of humor.

AMIE M. GORDON is an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she directs the Well-being, Health, and Interpersonal Relationships Lab (WHIRL). She received her PhD in social-personality psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. As a working mother who functions best on nine hours of sleep, much of her research on sleep and its effects on relationships has been inspired by her own nights of sleep deprivation.

HEIDI GRANT is a social psychologist who researches, writes, and speaks about the science of motivation. She is the director of research & development, EY Americas Learning, and serves as associate director of Columbia’s Motivation Science Center. She received her doctorate in social psychology from Columbia University. Her most recent book is Reinforcements: How to Get People to Help You (Harvard Review Press, 2018). She is also the author of Nine Things Successful People Do Differently (Harvard Business Review Press, 2012) and No One Understands You and What to Do About It (Harvard Business Review Press, 2015).

JOSEPH GRENNY is a four-time New York Times bestselling author, keynote speaker, and leading social scientist for business performance.
