In this chapter, you were introduced to how Ruby implements regular expressions. We saw how to build a custom email validation program by leveraging regular expressions. We also examined how to build an IP address validation tool.

We discussed tools, such as Rubular, that are utilized regularly by the Ruby community when building and testing regular expression matchers. We also had fun building a Wheel of Fortune game that integrates regex matchers combined with other Ruby string methods.
