She served as an adjunct professor of entrepreneurship/small business management at City Vision University. She has taught or facilitated in universities in the U.S., Ghana, Namibia, and South Africa. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) and the Forbes Coaches Council. She oversees a growing team which operates in seven countries spanning across four continents. Tamiko is also the president and founder of Africa Trade Partners, a company that provides services to facilitate trade between the United States and Sub-Saharan African businesses.
Born into a broken family who lived in low-income housing projects, growing up in poverty in a crime-ridden neighborhood, and getting educated in the underperforming school district of East St. Louis, Illinois, she considers herself to be a flower that was determined to rise from the cracks of concrete to grow and flourish. She went on to obtain three business degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia on a full academic scholarship, the University of Phoenix, and City Vision University, respectively, and has had a successful and adventurous career helping to secure over $30 million revenue, training employees, and obtaining millions of investment dollars in corporate America prior to launching her own companies.
