Naming Conventions

All Events should be represented as verbs in the past tense, as they're things that have been completed in the past — for example, CustomerRelocated, CargoShipped, or InventoryLossageRecorded. There are interesting examples in the English language where one may be tempted to use nouns as opposed to verbs in the past tense; an example of this would be Earthquake or Capsize as relevant Events for a congressperson interested in natural disasters. We suggest avoiding the temptation of using names like those for Domain Events and sticking with verbs in the past tense.
