General and Supply Chain–Specific Hazards

Hazard Identification—General

While not by any means all-inclusive, the following is a partial list of general risks and threats that may impact an organization’s facilities or operations, either directly or indirectly. The list includes natural, technological, and human-caused threats. While any of these threats can interfere with the supply chain operations, they are threats to the entire enterprise and not specific to the supply chain.

Hazard Identification—Supply Chain–Specific

The supply chain is at risk from all the previously listed threats. In addition, the following is a partial list of supply chain–specific risks and threats that directly impact the supply chain and its links. While these have an impact beyond the supply chain, the direct impact is on supply chain operations. Again, this is not an all-inclusive list.
