About the Author

Terry Lee Stone is a design management consultant and writer based in Los Angeles. She has worked with AdamsMorioka, The Designory, and Margo Chase Design among others. Her clients have included: BMW Group DesignworksUSA, Adobe Systems, American Express, USC, and the Sundance Film Festival. Stone has taught the business of design at CalArts, Art Center College of Design, and Otis College of Art and Design. She is co-author of The Logo Design Workbook, (Rockport, 2006), and the author of The Color Design Workbook, (Rockport, 2008), a second AdamsMorioka book. She has written for several design magazines including STEP magazine, Dynamic Graphics Magazine, and AIGA Voice. Terry served on the board of directors of the AIGA in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami, where she was also the chapter’s president. She has presented lectures and workshops for numerous organizations, such as AIGA and the Art Directors Club of New York.
