Using a dataset derived from a multidimensional model or cube is no different than using a dataset derived from a T-SQL query or stored procedure. The only difference, a very good difference, is that the Analysis Services is doing the calculations and aggregations on the analytic engine, and not on the database engine.
- From the report designer, expand the
dsSalesTerritorydataset. You may notice that there are four fields in this dataset:Group,Country,Region, andSales_Amount.
- Now, create a table with four columns. Drag-and-drop the four fields of our dataset into the four columns of the table. Format the columns appropriately.
