About the Authors

Andrea Bencsik is a professor in a Hungarian university called Széchenyi István University in Győr and in J. Selye University in Slovakia. Her main research area is knowledge management and its connections with other processes and knowledge management system building in companies. She is a leader of an innovative research project, which aims to work out new ideas on how artificial intelligence can support knowledge ­management and be viably connected with various processes in a company.

Krishna Raj Bhandari is a final year doctoral student from the University of Vaasa, Finland. His dissertation revisits theories of Porter, ­Barney, and Coase in a panel data covering a period of 10 years. His recent research interest pertains to the assessment of the impact of information technology (IoT, cloud computing, and AI) on corporate strategy.

Sergio Biggemann is a senior lecturer in Business Marketing at the ­University of Otago.

Norrie J. Daroga is an engineer, lawyer, and seasoned executive, founder, and CEO of iDAvatars. He started his career at GE Healthcare and co-managed the listing of Metavante Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:MV) in 2007. iDAvatars builds interactive avatars, which have emotional intelligence and are used in self-directed applications as well health care management.

Margaret A. Goralski is a professor in the School of Business at ­Quinnipiac University. She has a Ph.D. in International Management from the International School of Management, Paris, France. Her current research interests include brain-based learning, business ethics, and ethics of artificial intelligence.

Mary Wanjiru Kinoti is a senior lecturer and associate dean, Graduate Business Studies, School of Business, University of Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a Ph.D.in Business Administration from the School of Business, University of Nairobi, in addition to Master of Business Administration (Marketing) and Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Economics) degree. She has distinguished herself as a capable manager and administrator as coordinator of bachelor of commerce program, conferences, marketing, and branding activities within the school. She is a member of Marketing Society of Kenya, Kenya Institute of Management, as well as Academy of International Business (AIB) Sub-Saharan Africa chapter. Mary also consults for SMEs, public as well as private organizations in Kenya. She has co-authored book chapters on sustainable development, women empowerment, and entrepreneurship.

Krystyna Górniak-Kocikowska is a professor of Philosophy at Southern Connecticut State University. She has an MA in German Philology and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. She also has an MA in Religious Studies from Temple University in Philadelphia, United States. Her current research interests include knowledge management, social, and ethical issues in the ICT-driven global society.

Carlos Vasquez is presently a Ph.D. candidate. He is an executive with 13 years of working experience in strategy, management, marketing, and particularly innovation areas. He is a recipient of a scholarship at the University of Sydney Business School, where he is conducting research on problem solving and innovation management.

Associate Professor Abel Kinoti Meru is the founding dean, Riara School of Business, Riara University, Kenya, and the founding chair of Academy of International Business Sub-Saharan Africa chapter. He holds a doctorate degree in Commerce from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, South Africa, an MBA (Marketing) and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degrees. He is the author of a textbook on “Business Incubation and Business Development in Kenya,” co-edited a book on The Changing Dynamics of International Business in Africa, co-authored a book chapter in an upcoming edition on Public Budgeting in African Nations, and several articles published in local and international peer-reviewed journals.

J. Mark Munoz is a professor of International Business at Millikin ­University in Illinois, and a former visiting fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is a recipient of several awards including four Best Research Paper Awards, an international book award, a literary award, and the ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award among others. Aside from top-tier journal publications, he has authored/edited/co-edited 18 books such as: Winning Across Borders, International Social Entrepreneurship, Contemporary Microenterprises: Concepts and Cases, Handbook on the Geopolitics of Business, Managerial Forensics, Advances in Geoeconomics and Global Business Intelligence. He is chairman/CEO of the international management consulting firm Munoz and Associates International and chairman of the editorial board of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Business, Policy, and Economy. He serves as Advisor to the AI Initiative at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Associate Professor Felix Musau is the founding dean, Riara School of Computing Sciences, Riara University, Kenya. He holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Computer Science and Technology from the Central South University, Peoples Republic of China. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals in computing and information technology mainly on artificial intelligence, trust management, information security, and network management.

Al Naqvi is a big data strategist and a finance expert. Former CFO of a health care system, entrepreneur, and Fortune 500 executive, Naqvi has developed over 100 use cases in big data. Naqvi is also adjunct faculty member at Millikin where he teaches MBA Strategy course, a frequent speaker at conferences, and author of various articles and books. He is the founder and CEO of the American Institute of Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Mehrdad Sharbaf is an adjunct professor at multiple universities, including Loyola Marymount, California State University, Dominguez Hills, and California State University, Northridge. His background includes more than 20 years of experience in industry and academia, focusing on disciplines such as system integration, system engineering, information security, and total quality information security ­management. During his career, he has taught at multiple institutions, including various educational institutions such as the previously mentioned ­colleges, as well as California State University, Long Beach, California State ­University, Los Angeles, and UCLA Extension. His research interests include quantum cryptography, quantum information processing, and total quality information security management, as well as network design and integration.

Luis A. Soto is a systems engineer, entrepreneur, and Latin-American guru in artificial intelligence and expert systems.
