A certified public accountant, he holds a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

The curious thing about writing a book is this: Although the authors’ names appear on the cover, it’s always really a team project. Take the case of this book, for example. Truth be told, the book was really the idea of Andy Cummings, the publisher of For Dummies technology books, and Katie Mohr, our long-suffering acquisitions editor. What’s more, while we wrote the manuscript, a lot of folks at Wiley expended a ton of effort into turning our rough manuscript into a polished book. Linda Morris, our project and copy editor, Michael Talley, our technical editor, and a host of page layout technicians, proofreaders, and graphic artists are just some of the people who helped this book come to life.
