Summary

In this chapter, we learned about adding and removing users and giving those users the permissions that they need or taking them away as needed.

Up until now, we've only talked about things related to our databases (securing them, managing users, and so on). We haven't actually done anything with any real data—the stuff that databases are good at storing, manipulating, and retrieving. Well, it is now time to look at this. The next three chapters are all about using MariaDB. We'll learn the basic SQL commands that we can use with the mysql command-line client program to create databases, insert data, read data, and so on in the next three chapters.
