Chapter 13. Maintaining Client Data

In the previous two chapters, the focus was on identifying the client. By using one of several possible techniques, it should now be clear how to associate multiple HTTP transactions with one another. In order to make this association useful, however, you must now focus on the application itself and what information you need to maintain per client. Maintaining the client’s data is an essential element of session management.
