Dr. Jacqueline Jeynes, PhD, MBA, BEd(Hons), BA(Hons)
Dr. Jeynes is a member of the British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW), a travel writer with a focus on mature travel sectors covering tour packages, travel and accommodation, food and wine, theater, and entertainment. She regularly writes reviews for Silver Travel Advisor plus full-scale reports (3,000 words) on particular destinations, hotel chains, and as part of Press Trips for tour operators. Jacqueline is currently working on a series of books on “A Meander Through Wales” using bus, train, and on foot, so directly related to the current move to reduce an individual’s carbon footprint.
In 2022, Dr. Jeynes became an inaugural member of the newly launched Silver Marketing Association (SMA), previously the Mature Marketing Association. Her book Targeting the Mature Traveler: Developing Strategies for an Emerging Market was published by Business Expert Press in 2021 and is aimed at those involved in travel and tourism sectors. As a member of the Non-Fiction Authors’ Association (NFAA), she regularly reviews books by other authors submitted for the NFAA book awards.
A published nonfiction author of 10 titles since 2000, she is also a writer and tutor of distance learning courses, including art history modules for Aberystwyth University and other online courses aimed at smaller enterprises. The first publications were based on her PhD research on health and safety in small firms, with a new updated version Managing Health and Safety in a Small Business published by Business Expert Press in 2022.
As a speaker at international conferences for many years, and based on her wide-ranging business experience, Dr. Jeynes represented U.K. women entrepreneurs at the UN Congress on Women in Beijing.
Dr. Jeynes is an art historian and entrepreneur. She loves theatre and the arts, tasting new wines, completing long-distance walks and traveling to new places. Jacqueline lives with her husband Leslie in a pretty harbor town in West Wales, United Kingdom.
