Michael Aun has been speaking professionally since 1974 when he began his career in the insurance business with the Knights of Columbus. His General Agency spans multiple offices throughout central Florida, servicing some 35,000 policyholders in over 100 cities. He holds the FIC and LUTCF designations in the insurance industry. He has been a Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and has addressed that prestigious body.

Michael Aun is the author of seven books. His syndicated column "Behind the Mike" appears in over 600 newspapers and electronic publications in some 22 countries in several languages.

In 1978, Michael Aun won the World Championship of Public Speaking for Toastmasters International, an organization of some 175,000 members in over 60 countries at the time.

In 1983, Michael Aun earned his Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association, one of only 200 in the world at that time. He has also been elected to NSA's Board of Directors.

In 2000, he was inducted to the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame, an award widely recognized as the Oscar of the speaking profession by the National Speakers Association. He is also a member of the Toastmasters International Speakers Hall of Fame.

In 2003, he was presented the prestigious George Morrissey Lifetime Achievement Award by the Central Florida Speakers Association.

In 2009, he was decorated by the Veteran Speakers Conference as a recipient of the Legends of the Speaking Profession Award. He is one of only 67 speakers to be so honored over their history and was the youngest ever selected. Forty-two honorees are still alive.
