If money were no object but you still had to work for a living, what would you do?
This is one of my favorite questions to ask people. I'm not sure why. Perhaps it is because it gives me insights into a person that no other question can. It frees the mind from the boundaries of the paycheck and allows the person to think about a job in terms of enjoyment and fulfillment. I have been asking people this question for more than twenty-five years, and I'm always entertained by their answers.
What about you? If you could do anything you wanted for a living and did not have to worry about your income, what job would you have? Remember, one of the rules of the game is that you have to do something. Think about it. What would you do? I'll bet you have something in mind already.
Frequently, people's ideal job has nothing to do with what they really do for a living.
