Installing Numba

To use Numba in your Python code, you need to install the package, and configure the environment variables:

$ pip3 install numba
$ export NUMBAPRO_NVVM=/usr/local/cuda/nvvm/lib64/libnvvm.so
$ export NUMBAPRO_LIBDEVICE=/usr/local/cuda/nvvm/libdevice/

You would need to put the environment variable settings at the end of .bashrc or .zshrc, for the ease of future use. If they are not set, Python will return this message:

numba.cuda.cudadrv.error.NvvmSupportError: libNVVM cannot be found. Do `conda install cudatoolkit`:
library nvvm not found
