Summary

We now have two methods available to execute jobs: one is a daemon, which forks in the background and stays there working on some, hopefully, important tasks; the other is the schedulers, great for those jobs that must be executed with a recurring pattern. These tools can really help us to keep everything in order, and execute complex and boring tasks by easing the maintenance of a server or even a desktop. But Bash is not only made of commands, scripts, tasks, and services: it is the home we are working in on a daily basis. It is our playground, our workbench, something to get familiar with. So, the next chapter will deal with some utilities, configurations, and advice to make our Bash a cozy place to live our digital life.
