Born in Italy and living in the United Kingdom, Monika Cilmi is a professional artist, an author, and a creative coach with a strong spiritual connection to Japan and its philosophy. She has a degree in visual arts, a certificate in Japanese and Korean art, and a Master’s degree in fine art. She has exhibited her work internationally and has collaborated with a dance company in Mexico, where she worked with Zen brushwork in an interactive installation.

Monika is active in her local community. She has been interviewed on various occasions and was recently a special guest at a local radio show and on BBC Radio Suffolk.

She is inspired by nature and the body/mind relationship, and her work expresses the harmony between logical research, personal feelings, and instinctive actions. Paper has always been her passion and it is a crucial part of her research.
