18.8. Juniper Networks Unified Access Control

Unified Access Control (UAC) is the Juniper Networks NAC architecture that authenticates users and scans for endpoint integrity. UAC relies on either

• The Juniper UAC agent installed on the endpoint

• The native Microsoft agent

Enforcement point choices range from any vendor's 802.1X wired switches and access points to a range of Juniper security devices, including all Juniper firewalls and IDP devices.

You can extend Juniper UAC to other endpoint and infrastructure products because it supports the Trusted Network Connect protocols.
