spkac
The spkac
command is used to create, examine, and
manipulate Netscape-signed public keys and challenge (SPKAC)
formatted files.
Specify the name of a file from which data will be read. If this
option is omitted, stdin
is used by default.
Specify the name of a file to which data will be written. If this
option is omitted, stdout
is used by default.
Specify the password or passphrase that will be used to decrypt the private key if one is required. This option follows the guidelines for passwords and passphrases in Chapter 2.
Specify the name of a file containing a private key to use when
creating an SPKAC file. If this option is specified, the
in

,
spksect
, and verify
options are
ignored.
Specify a challenge string to be included in an SPKAC file that is created.
Specify an alternative name for the variable containing the SPKAC. If this option is omitted, the default is to use the name “SPKAC”. This option affects both generated and input SPKAC files.
Specify an alternative name for the section containing the SPKAC. If this option is omitted, the default is to use the default section.
Cause the output of an SPKAC file to be suppressed.
Cause the public key of an SPKAC to be output.
Verify the signature on the supplied SPKAC.
