Summary

This chapter reviewed the latest features of Oracle Database 10g Real Application Clusters, including new clusterware support offered by Cluster Ready Services; new enhancements with the 10g service management framework; new volume management support offered by Automatic Storage Management; new enhancements for RAC installation, migration, and manageability; extended support for rolling patch upgrades; and the major RAC features for 10g Release 2 10.2.0. This chapter also reviewed some best practices for running RAC with Oracle 10g. These new features and enhancements create a very solid high-availability framework for running Oracle 10g RAC in all supported environments.
