Anvil Graphic Design, Inc.
Anvil is a graphic design and branding consultancy based in Redwood City, California,
that began extensive experimentation with patterns in 1999. They had sensed a
need for well-designed gift wrap and decided to shake things up by mixing traditional
Asian motifs with a twist of modernism. The outcome was an annual selection of gift
wrap that was given away as a holiday promotion to clients, business associates,
and friends. After receiving an unprecedented number of accolades within the design
industry they decided to mass produce the paper and sell it wholesale. Thus, their
second business, Anvil Modern Paperie was born.
