Danai Krokou was born in Corfu, a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. She left her hometown at age 17 to study and work in numerous countries around the world. She is an international development consultant, Chinese market investment specialist, entrepreneur, and passionate polyglot. She studied in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Denmark, and China. She holds three master’s (MA, MSc) degrees. She majored in French Linguistics and Literature, in International Politics, and in Business. She is fluent in seven languages, including Mandarin Chinese. She started her first business at age 25 in Shanghai, China and is one of the youngest female entrepreneurs in Asia. She is the author of a series of business books aimed at Western SMEs and investors who seek to understand and ideally enter the Chinese market.
