Author’s Biography
XIAOBIN LE
Xiaobin Le, Ph.D., P.E., received a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1982 and an MS in
Mechanical Engineering in 1987 from Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, Ganzhou,
Jiangxi. He received his first Ph.D. in Mechanical Design of Mechanical Engineering from
Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, in 1993, and his second Ph.D. in Solid Mechanics of
Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas, in 2002.
He is currently a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Went-
worth Institute of Technology, Boston, Massachusetts. His teaching and research interests are
Computer-Aided Design, Mechanical Design, Finite Element Analysis, Fatigue Design, Solid
Mechanics, Engineering Reliability, and Engineering Education Research.
