1.8. Conclusion

I hope you've benefitted from this thorough dissertation on .NET exception handling, had fun experimenting with the Fourth Coffee demo site, and enjoyed seeing how the LD.ExceptionHandling project was built.

Naturally, as with any software, there is always room to add new features. For example, you may want to provide error notification by IM, log to alternate data stores, or collect more error data, such as information about the process thread the exception was thrown from. The great thing is that you have all the source code right here at your fingertips! If there's some bit of functionality you feel is missing or you have an idea to make it better, I wholeheartedly encourage you to roll up your sleeves and have a go, knowing you have a sound architecture to start from. I would love to see what cool things you readers do with it.

If you have any ideas, thoughts, comments, or questions, please feel free to drop me a line through my blog at http://leedumond.com, or via the Wrox Programmer Forums (http://p2p.wrox.com).
