Downloading Perl for Windows
The first step in installing Perl for Windows on your computer is to download the installation package from ActiveState's Web site.

ActiveState is a company dedicated to building and supporting Perl and its tools on the Windows platform. ActiveState also offers a Perl developer's kit, a GUI-based Perl debugger, and a plug-in for NT-based Web serves that improves CGI performance (although none of these packages are part of the core Perl for Windows package).
Get the latest version of Perl for Windows at http://www.activestate.com/ActivePerl/download.html. The first page lists the requirements for installing Perl. Download and install any of the required software, if you lack any, before adding Perl. On the next page, you can download the actual Perl installation file.
