PART 1: Mapping Your Modes of Functioning

1. Turn to a blank page spread in your journal. On the left page, make a column with the heading Constructive Thinking. On the opposite page, make a column titled Destructive Thinking. Take five or ten minutes to quickly list all of the ways you experience the thinking function.

2. Next, turn to a blank page for writing your responses to the journaling prompts on the right.

3. Now, either on new pages or working directly over your journaling prompt writing, create a visual representation of your thinking function at its best. What constructive qualities of your thinking function inspire you to be your best and help you do your best work?

4. Repeat this entire exercise for the feeling, acting, and sensing functions.
