Cliff Ennico (www.cliffennico.com, www.succeedinginyourbusiness.com), the author of The Crowdfunding Handbook, has more than thirty-five years of experience working with venture companies, venture capitalists, angels, and other professional investors, and start-up technology companies, and is a leading expert on the legal and financial issues that entrepreneurial companies face. He has advised corporate and limited liability company clients in dozens of private placement offerings of securities and hundreds of friends-and-family offerings.

Outside the legal profession, he is best known as the former host of MoneyHunt; on this fast-paced PBS reality television series (widely considered an inspiration for the hit ABC television series Shark Tank), entrepreneurs defended their business plans before America’s toughest panel of experts—exactly what start-ups will be doing when seeking financing via crowdfunding. His weekly business advice column, Succeeding in Your Business, syndicated nationally by Creators Syndicate (creators.com), appears in dozens of major newspapers and on small-business websites throughout North America.

Mr. Ennico served his apprenticeship as a corporate and securities lawyer at two of Wall Street’s leading law firms. Over the course of a thirty-five-year career, he has helped launch more than fifteen thousand entrepreneurial ventures, and he currently runs his own start-up law and consulting practice in Connecticut.
