ABOUT THE AUTHOR

SCOTT D. ANTHONY is the Managing Partner of Innosight, an elected role he has served since 2012. Based in Innosight’s Singapore office since 2010, he also leads the firm’s Asian consulting operations and its venture-capital investment activities. His other books include Dual Transformation (2017, with Clark Gilbert and Mark W. Johnson), The First Mile (2014), The Innovator’s Guide to Growth (2008, with Johnson, Joseph V. Sinfield, and Elizabeth J. Altman), and Seeing What’s Next (2004, with Harvard Professor and Innosight co-founder Clayton Christensen). He is on the Board of Directors of MediaCorp, a diversified media company based in Singapore, and chairs the investment committee for IDEAS Ventures, a venture investment fund Innosight runs in conjunction with the Singapore government. He is a prolific contributor to Harvard Business Review, and in 2015 was named a “Light Bulb Thinker” by Thinkers50. He is a member of the Silicon Valley Guild, a collection of 30 international thought leaders and best-selling authors who write about the ideas and trends shaping business and society. Scott received a BA in economics, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College and an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
