Tara Acosta is a successful business owner in Philadelphia with two hair salons in two different sections of the city. She is also a stylist and barber of 20-plus years, giving her the opportunity to get to know many different people and hear about a countless number of business successes and failures. Having multiple locations in the same industry provides a great comparison logistically.
In addition to her career as a successful salon owner, she has also overseen property rehabs and buildouts as well as participating in the project management of her and her husband’s investment properties.
Tara and her husband have financially invested in a broad range of business types. All of these business ventures have given Tara a depth of personal insight into the various scenarios played out behind the scenes in different commercial investments.
Her natural talent as a writer and businesswoman is combined in this, her first book, The Street Smart Side of Business—A Behind-the-Scenes Guide to Making Smart Business Decisions.
She has also written a novel, North of Snyder.
Tara resides in Philadelphia with her husband and three children: Cianna, Anthony, and Jaxon.
