Jim Stovall

Jim Stovall is a world-renowned author and speaker who has been recognized by the President’s Committee on Equal Opportunity as the Entrepreneur of the Year in a ceremony in Washington, DC. He has also been honored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as Businessperson of the Year.

Mr. Stovall has been a national champion Olympic weightlifter, and is the president of the Emmy Award–winning Narrative Television Network (NTN). NTN has grown to include over 1,200 cable systems and broadcast stations, can be seen in 11 foreign countries, and reaches over 35 million homes in the United States alone.

Jim has been featured on Good Morning America, CNN, and in Time magazine as well as in the Wall Street Journal and Forbes magazine. He is the author of 13 books including the international best seller The Ultimate Gift, which is now a major motion picture from 20th Century Fox starring James Garner, Brian Dennehy, and Abigail Breslin.

Jim was selected as the 2000 International Humanitarian of the Year, joining Jimmy Carter, Nancy Reagan, and Mother Teresa as recipients of this honor.

Tim Maurer, CFP®

Tim Maurer is a financial planner, educator, and author. As vice president of the Financial Consulate, a fee-only comprehensive financial management company, he is a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) practitioner working with individuals, families, and organizations. A graduate of Towson University, Tim now teaches financial planning at his alma mater. He publishes weekly educational posts on his personal finance blog, TimMaurer.com, and is active on Twitter via @TimMaurer and Facebook at www.facebook.com/moneyandlife.

With a passion for relational communication, Tim educates in a variety of forums. Tim has been active in television, including appearances on CNBC, ABC’s Nightline, WUSA Channel 9 (CBS in DC), WBAL-TV 11 (NBC in Baltimore), and Fox 45 (in Baltimore).

He is the cohost of Money, Riches and Wealth, a financial radio program on WCBM 680 AM in Baltimore and has also been featured on the NPR program Marketplace. In print, Tim has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Baltimore Sun, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, U.S. News & World Report, and Money magazine, among others.

Tim lives with his wife and their two boys in Baldwin, Maryland, where he is active in the community. In addition to serving on the board of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Maryland chapter, Tim also shares his passion for music as a member of the Jon Maurer Band and at his church.
