I am indebted to everyone who has contributed to my understanding of the subject. Different views regarding the effectiveness or success/failure of demonetization have been conveyed through seminars, conferences, reports, magazines, and newspaper articles. It is needless to say that in writing this book I have drawn from some excellent literature on the subject from the writings of many scholars whose views I have incorporated in the book, and I would like to express my gratefulness to each of them for their unique perspective and expertise. The quality of this book is shared by all; however, for the errors and limitations, I alone am responsible. Writing a book has always been an arduous task that requires enormous perseverance, endurance, and sustained commitment over a long period. This book is a product of my experience over the past five and half decades of professional work as a teacher, trainer, and researcher. I am deeply obliged to numerous students, teachers, scholars, and practicing managers with whom I have had the privilege of interacting in my professional career. A special word of appreciation is due to my old friend Prof. D. P. S.
