The HydroFlex® 35 mm Eyemo underwater housing is designed for through-the-lens or video viewing, 100-foot film loads, and use of on-board batteries. It is depth rated to 40 feet (12 meters). The housing is built of PVC and Plexiglas. Other features include video to the surface, remote run, exterior focus and iris controls and mounting surfaces on top, bottom, and both sides. The Eyemo camera uses Nikon lenses and has preselected crystal-controlled film speeds of 6 to 50 feet per second.

The HydroFlex® 16SR 3 is designed around the Arriflex 16SR 3 camera with video assist, 400-foot magazines, and an on-board camera battery. Designed primarily for above-water filming in wet environments, the 16SR 3 shallow water housing has an optional lead pack to allow the housing to go underwater to a depth of 20 feet. Features include video-out, remote run, exterior focus and iris controls, and top and bottom mounting surfaces.

Much lighter and smaller than a spinning glass spray deflector, the HydroFlex® spray deflector keeps water spots from ruining shots. This accessory is ideal when shooting in the rain or on the water where spray can be a problem. The system uses

standard scuba nitrogen tanks for the air supply and is controlled by an in-line on-off valve. Also available are modified lightweight matte boxes that incorporate the air-blower system for use in wet situations.

Digital and Hi-8 underwater video is used primarily for location scouting and behind the scenes coverage. HydroFlex® offers Digital and Hi-8 housings that allow one to feed video out to the surface through an underwater video cable.

HydroFlex® has designed waterproof housing for the Minolta 1-degree spot meter, the Minolta Auto IV incident meter, and the Spectra Pro IV meter. These housings allow use of exposure meters with equal ease in wet or dry conditions. Crafted from aluminum and Plexiglas, the incident meter housings are depth-rated to 40 feet and the spot meter

to 150 feet (45 meters). These meter housings also provide ideal protection on land against damage from sand and rain. HydroFlex® has produced the most form-fitting design possible. Meters fit in the housings without any special modification or setup. Quick-release latches allow for easy installation or removal.

SCU 1 This model is for the 400/600 series Betacam cameras.

SCU 2 This model is for the 5/7 series Betacam cameras. Both of the SCU 1 and the SCU 2 units are supplied with an audio input and can have a video output. Adapter rings are supplied to securely locate the lens in the front port. These units can only be handheld.

SCU 3 This model is for Aaton 35 mm cameras with a Chrosziel follow focus. The widest lens that can be used is 18 mm. A clip-on 4 by 4 filter holder is supplied, and the housing can be handheld or mounted on a tripod. A 10-foot video cable is supplied as standard, and there is an external handle with a watertight film-run switch.

SCU 5 This model is for Arri SR2 and ST3 cameras. It has an external handle with two watertight film-run switches and interchangeable eyepieces for the two cameras. A full glove allows access to the lens, and there are ports to view camera and lens functions. This housing can be either handheld or mounted on a tripod. The housing comes with a clip-on filter holder, and a 10-foot video output cable.

SCU 6 This unit is for the Arri 35/3 camera. It is supplied with a 10-meter power and video loom, and the camera can be run at 130 feet per second. This housing has an external film-run switch and can be either handheld or mounted on a tripod. The camera is mounted on a Ronford quick-release system and has a double 4 by 4 filter holder. The widest lens that can be used is 12 mm, and there is an external follow focus.

SCU 7 This model is for the Aaton XTR and Prod cameras. It has an external handle with a watertight film-run switch and interchangeable eyepieces. There is a full glove to access the lens and there are viewing ports to see camera and lens functions. The unit can be either handheld or mounted on a tripod. It comes supplied with a clip-on filter holder and a 10-foot video cable.

Scubacam has rain covers for Arri and Aaton 16 mm cameras, Arri 35/3, Arri 435, Arri 535, Aaton 35, and Betacam cameras. All Scubacam splash housings are made from 2- to 2.5-millimeter thick natural latex and sealed with very high quality watertight zips. They are all equipped with an audible leak detector and can be easily modified to customer requirements. When the zips are fully closed, the splash housing can be submerged to a maximum depth of 3 meters.
