Chapter 7. Text

Although most Web documents are chock-full of graphics and multimedia, text still plays a very important part in communicating on the Web. Previous versions of HTML (prior to 4.01) included several tags for direct text formatting. Many of those tags have been deprecated in favor of CSS, but many still exist and can be used and still be in XHTML compliance.
