Jim Maivald began his career as the editor of an architectural and engineering magazine. Since then he has edited two other magazines and written over 10 books and dozens of articles on electronic design and production. He founded his own graphic design practice in 1991 and has worked with companies big and small crafting corporate identities, brochures, and custom illustrations. He started learning HTML in late ’90s and was an early adopter of Dreamweaver. Jim now specializes in web-based content management systems and document automation.
