One of the fastest-growing application types over the last few years has been the explosion of mapping applications, whether for your satnav system or running Google Maps on your phone. Underneath these applications lie mapping services that have been developed by companies such as Microsoft or Google. We are going to use the Bing Maps services to add mapping support to our application.

Our mapping application has the following requirements:

• Clicking on a location will add that location as a point of interest
• When a point of interest is added, an information box will be displayed, showing details about it
• Clicking on a point of interest again will delete it
• Points of interest will be saved to a database
• The user will be able to move the point of interest, updating details in the database
• Where available, business information will be automatically retrieved and displayed
