Dean Anthony Gratton has worked within the software engineering arena for close to fifteen years. His interest in wireless technology led him to form his own consultancy in the late ‘90s, where he witnessed firsthand the evolution of Bluetooth technology. He has personally worked as a consultant for a number of leading organisations, including TDK Systems Europe, Alcatel Microelectronics, Plantronics and 3Com Europe, during which time he became editor of the LAN Access Profile and was an active member of the PAN Working Group. He is accredited as a contributor on the latest Specification of the Bluetooth System: Profiles v1.1, and his work on defining new aspects of the Bluetooth technology has been patented. Dean’s outside areas of interest have led him to study for both a diploma in Counselling and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. More recently, he was appointed Technical Director of Camden Publications Ltd., a company that produces a variety of consumer and business-to-business related magazines.
