Disorders in financial markets, especially the Internet bubble, are a source of a new and damaging business cycle in the world economy.

The American economy is envied abroad for its entrepreneurial sector that contributes to our military strength, economic growth, and exports. Yet the bubble damaged technological innovation, threw the economy into a recession, and wiped out many peoples' savings. This isn't a model that deserves emulation abroad in its present state.
