The Future of the Cloud

Throughout this book, you have examined the most recent cloud-based solutions and applications. With many cloud solutions already seeming quite cutting edge, it is hard to imagine how the cloud will evolve in the near and far term. Over the past 10 years, users have connected billions of devices, from personal assistants such as Amazon Alexa, streaming video cameras, and smarthome devices to the Internet to create the Internet of Things (IoT). This chapter will examine the Internet of Things and how its use will continue to grow the cloud.
