ABOUT THE CENTER FOR CREATIVE LEADERSHIP

The Center for Creative Leadership is an international, nonprofit, educational institution whose mission is to advance the understanding, practice, and development of leadership for the benefit of society worldwide. Founded in Greensboro, North Carolina, in 1970 by the Smith Richardson Foundation, Inc., the Center is today one of the largest institutions in the world focusing on leadership. In addition to locations in Greensboro; Colorado Springs, Colorado; San Diego, California; and Brussels, Belgium, the Center maintains relationships with more than twenty network associates and partners in the United States and abroad.

The Center conducts research, produces publications, and provides a variety of educational programs and products to leaders and organizations in the public, corporate, educational, and nonprofit sectors. Each year through its programs, it reaches more than twenty-seven thousand leaders and several thousand organizations worldwide. It also serves as a clearinghouse for ideas on leadership and creativity and regularly convenes conferences and colloquia by scholars and practitioners.

Funding for the Center for Creative Leadership comes primarily from tuition, sales of products and publications, royalties, and fees for service. The Center also seeks grants and donations from corporations, foundations, and individuals in support of its educational mission.
