ROBERT J. LEE is a management consultant in New York City working with senior executives on personal and organizational effectiveness. He was president and CEO of the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) from 1994 to 1997 and is a senior fellow of CCL.

In 1974, Lee founded Lee Hecht Harrison, a career services firm that now has offices in more than seventy cities worldwide. He is a charter member of the Out-placement Institute. He has been adjunct faculty at Baruch College, City University of New York, and has been a director of the Human Resource Planning Society. He holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Case Western Reserve University.

SARA N. KING is director of open enrollment programs at the Center for Creative Leadership, in which over ten thousand people participate yearly. She has worked with many executives as a manager and trainer of various CCL programs, including the Leadership Development Program ®(LDP), The Women's Leadership Program, and Foundations of Leadership.

King joined CCL in 1986 as a research assistant for a project that studied executive women's career development in Fortune 100 firms. This resulted in the groundbreaking book Breaking the Glass Ceiling: Can Women Reach the Top of America's Largest Corporations? (by Ann Morrison, Randall P. White, Ellen Van Velsor, and the Center for Creative Leadership; Addison-Wesley, 1992, rev. ed.). King is currently a member of a research team investigating choices and trade-offs of high-achieving women. She holds a B.A. from Wake Forest University and an M.S. in educational administration from Cornell University.
