Given our choice of KDE as a desktop environment, we are recommending KOffice and Open Office as productivity suites. KOffice should provide a unified experience for end users on KDE, and Open Office includes an option to migrate users away from Microsoft Office before migrating them away from the Microsoft Windows operating system. Both productivity suites supply major Microsoft Office functionality and full interoperability with Microsoft Office document formats. Table B-3 lists the three major Office applications, along with the KOffice and Open Office equivalents.
