Wiring Design Calculations

Part I is concerned primarily with calculations that lead to an electrical design in conformance with the National Electrical Code requirements with respect to ratings or capacities of electrical equipment and conductors. Special emphasis is given to the calculations for service, feeder, and branch-circuit loads. All rules and definitions directly related to calculations are presented with the calculations. Numerous examples are given to demonstrate the use of the Code rules in performing the required calculations. The complete examples progress from relatively simple problems involving the one-family dwelling to the more complex problems encountered in a large industrial installation. Quizzes and problems follow each section and a summary examination is given after each chapter.
